Ownership

The Larned water department, is owned and operated by the City of Larned. The city supplies, and distributes high quality water to the approximately 2,400 customers.


The Larned Water Department manages and maintains the infrastructure and one water tower. This department also manages the City’s well fields.


Ways to Pay Your Bill

  • Pay online
  • Sign up for the Auto Pay Plan
  • Call 620-285-8500 to make a credit card payment. 
  • Drop your payment off at City Hall (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m - 5 p.m.) 
  • Drop your payment off at the City Hall Drop Box (24 hours a day).

Water Services

Water service will be turned on or off the same day following request for service prior to 3:30 PM same day. After 3:30 PM service request will be done the next business day.


 If payment is not received by the 15th of each month a 5% late fee is applied to all past due balances. If previous balance is shown, service is subject to disconnect. If service is stopped for non-payment the previous balance must be paid in full and a reconnection fee is applied: first time shutoff for non-payment is $25, second time is $50, third is $100, any time after that is $100. All disconnections for non-payment will remain shut off until next business day. No checks will be accepted for disconnection of non-payment.

Water Hardness

The hardness of Larned's water is thirty six grains of hardness per gallon of water. 


Customer Service

New account holders are required to sign up for service in person at City Hall. A driver's license or other photo identification are required, along with a non-refundable $25 service initiation fee.
